Future
Topic: Reflect about your future job...
Hi and welcome :)... Today, as you can see, we have to think and talk about our futures jobs...
Since I was little I always felt close to teaching, I always liked to learn and pass on what I knew (I keep doing that); so when I used to imagine myself in a job, I always had this vision of myself as a teacher, I always had pedagogy in mind as the path I wanted to follow in my life.
Of course, I grew up, and I did realize other passions, so last year I had to make up my mind and take a step towards my future, so I decided to start studying Social Work. It's never too late to do something so I'm still looking forward to studying pedagogy (in History to be precise) and teaching in the near future :).
Clearly, salary is something important, it is what we can sustain ourselves with on a day-to-day basis, even so it is not something that I worried about when choosing my career or when thinking about my dream job. They always made it clear to me that the vocation was more important, and although dreaming is free, money does not make happiness but it is vital for everything else :).
As well, I am very very clear that I want to work with people, I want to be in touch with them, help them, understand them, empathize with them, and although it has become somewhat difficult for me to connect with people in recent years (thanks dear anxiety) I continue working on it, but that is why I study what I study :). Likewise, my concern has always been children and adolescents, mainly because it has always been said of them that they are the future, but they are also NOW, and we should not only worry about them in the future, because in the future they will no longer be children, rather, grown-ups who needed help that was never provided.
That is also why another of my focuses is the SENAME, and that is that although I would like with all my strength that it did not exist, since we live in a world where it operates (in a bad way but it does), I would really like to be a contribution for all who are within this system and hopefully change it. So I definitely want to do "field work" and act.

As you can see, for me, job and vocation have to be related to each other, they must complement each other in what I want to be and do, that way I not only care about others, but also about myself, which is something that I also understand as very important...

Same!!! I love the beautiful art of teching <3
ReplyDeletePlaces like Sename need a lot of people with a vocation like you! I
ReplyDeletehope you can work where you feel best.
What is most needed in these times of change is field work. Much success!
ReplyDeleteOmg !! You read my mind hahaha. I feel that change always starts from oneself and from the generations in formation, like children and us. Institutions like SENAME need an urgent change and, above all, people who want to make that change, just like you ♡♡♡
ReplyDeleteI really liked the reflection you made in your post !! have a great day
ReplyDeleteI think the same, I have to relate to others to feel that I will make sense, i wish u lucky for the future <3
ReplyDeleteI would also like to work at Sename to be able to help these children and to be able to change this horrible system that only violates the rights of these little ones. So that these children can have the quality of life they deserve, good and healthy.
ReplyDeleteI am agree with you in the point that job and vocation have to be related, because I think is the only form that we can recognize a good professional
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you are gonna be a great teacher!
